Recently, my colleague Johan and I celebrated our 4-year anniversary here at Bofor. Looking back on our journey, we can agree that our time here has been full of upgrades and changes. When we started, there were only a handful of people. Together, we invested time and effort to build not just our customer base and our offering, but also our culture — shaping how Bofor would look and feel as both a partner and an employer. It really felt like all hands on deck in every area. Wouldn’t it be exciting to be part of a team that builds a whole new culture and way of working? I believe everyone would agree!
When you’re building something from the ground up, it offers incredibly fertile soil for learning — both professionally and personally. I have learned so much about the technologies we use to create customer solutions and have had countless precious moments crafting unique solutions. But the learning didn’t stop at technology. During this journey, I’ve had the honor of taking on other responsibilities as well: I have become a coach, a mentor, and our official Diversity Lead. So, alongside solving our customers’ needs with our project teams, I have helped others find their direction, develop new skills, and continued shaping our growing culture and ways of working. That’s quite a lot, right? I’ve loved every second of it. It’s been amazing to develop my soft skills, management abilities, and deepen my knowledge of DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) — all while working with our customers.
To summarize my growth journey with Bofor, I can honestly say that I have grown tremendously as a professional — but also personally, as a human being. Comparing old and new pictures of myself is a fun way to see just how much one person can change during an exciting journey! We’ve done so many amazing things together, from building unique customer solutions to organizing fun and memorable events. I’m already excited to see what our future holds.
